Founded in 2012, SURE THING soon grew to become a signature showcase of Austin's acclaimed stand-up scene, earning wide recognition as one of the best weekly comedy a showcases in the nation.
SURE THING was a featured attraction at FUN FUN FUN FEST, the Out of Bounds Comedy Festival, and Austin Sketch Fest, and was named a top comedy pick by Splitsider, The Austin Chronicle, The Austinot, Thrillist, the Austin American-Statesman, Austin Monthly magazine, and many more.
In 2023, SURE THING and its hosts were honored by an official proclamation from the City Council of Austin recognizing it as the longest-running standup showcase in the city’s history.
SURE THING concluded its run on October 6th, 2023 with show number 512.
